How to Book |
Reservations can be made directly with a farmhouse using this website's online booking facilities, through our office or at your local tourist office. For the latter two options, you should confirm your booking in writing and enclose the required deposit. Onward reservations with additional farmhouses will be made for the cost of the phone call. Always reserve first and last nights accommodation in advance June/July/August - 48 hours in advance. Dublin - 2 weeks, preferably more in advance. Confirm booking within 7 days with agreed deposit. For the latter two options outlined above, rooms may be guaranteed by credit card - check when booking. Please also check rate and cancellation policy when booking. Late arrivals - after 6 pm by special agreement with home. |
Arrival Times |
It is advisable to inform the house of your expected arrival time. A very early arrival may cause inconvenience unless pre-arranged. Rooms are normally held until 6 pm. It is important to phone the house if you are delayed to ensure that your room will be held. |
Cancellations |
Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation please contact the host farmhouse as soon as possible. Rooms which are reserved and not occupied may result in loss of revenue for which you may be held legally responsible. |
Meals |
Dinner is available at some of our homes and these are indicated under the Facilities section of each entry. High Teas and/or light meals are also available in some homes. Please check each individual house for details. Dinner is normally booked by 12 pm. |
Heating |
Most homes provide heating, usually central heating and many have open peat or log fires. |
Guide Dogs and Pets |
Look for details under Facilities for each house and check when booking. |
Reduction for Children Sharing |
Reductions for children normally apply when children share with parents. Children under 12 years are eligible for a discount. Please check at the time of booking. |
Travel Agent Vouchers |
Your Travel Agent will give you a list of the premises which accept Vouchers. Houses which accept Vouchers will have this indicated where it says "Travel Agency Vouchers Accepted / Not Accepted" in their entry. Vouchers are normally valid for bed and breakfast in an en suite room. Any requests for standard vouchers should be made directly with Irish Farmhouse Holidays - 061 309955. A standard voucher may be upgraded to an en suite voucher by paying an appropriate supplement. |
Single Supplement |
A supplement may be charged for private facilities if not included. A single supplement will be charged when one person occupies a room for two or more persons. |
Self Catering |
We also offer self-catering holidays in a relaxed environment. If you fancy a rustic retreat or a home from home in a rural setting, this is an ideal option. Self-catering gives you a base where you can unpack and explore. Houses are booked on a weekly basis Saturday to Saturday. These excellent properties carry a star rating granted by their local tourism body. If you are staying in Ireland for longer than a week, you might like to sample our B&B experience combined with self-catering. Please click to view a list of all of the self catering properties within this site. |
Disabled Persons |
The National Rehabilitation Board produces an Accommodation Guide for disabled persons. Premises which have been approved as suitable by Failte Ireland’s Validated Accessible Scheme will have this indicated under the Facilities section of their entry. |
Complaints and other comments |
Complaints should first be brought to the attention of the proprietor before departure. Failing satisfaction and in the case of alleged overcharging, your receipt should be sent with your complaint to the Irish Farmhouse Holidays Association, 4 Ballycummin Village, Raheen, Limerick. To maintain the high standards for which the association is renowned, all comments on your level of satisfaction are welcome. All constructive criticisms will be taken seriously to ensure continued improvement of service. |
